Good evening...
What a fantastic first day everyone has had today with some fantastic challenges being attempted and achieved. The groups have worked on a carousel of activities throughout the day with different villas taking part in different challenges which has included Aerial Adventure, Golf, High Ropes, Paint-balling, Table Tennis and Swimming.
The winning villas from yesterdays football tournament was Villa 9 who were Cambodia and Villa 9 who were North Korea. This was a great opportunity for the boys to bond with their bunks and for some to thoroughly enjoying losing with Mrs Bart-Williams Villa 8 conceding the most goals on instruction from Mrs Bart-Williams who didn't fully understand the concept of football.
There were many highlights from today which included Stephen Butterworth and Dan Cotton conquering their fears of height and doing the Aerial Adventure. Jack Stewart learnt some of the etiquette of golf when other players on the course fail to shout 'Fore' and Ralph Garrett, Tyler Ackerman-Mond and Zach Birse succeeding in achieving his first ever par at golf. On the High Ropes Rob McIntyre conquered 'Jacobs Ladder'.
The boys have been very well fed in the superb selection of restaurants which has included Bella Pasta, Huck's American Diner and The Fairview Inn. They have also been really impressed with the accommodation but they don't spend very much time in them due to the range of activities that are taking place. Every night they are taking full advantage of the swimming facilities which includes a lounge pool, rapids, flumes and wave machine plus the very impressive Cyclone ride which the boys have thoroughly enjoyed.
Below are some of the pictures from the football yesterday with more from today to follow shortly...
